Nicosia – Acropolis Ave.

The restaurant belongs to the world wide Burger King franchise, and utilized by the PHC Franchised Restaurants Public LTD group which was our official client.

The restaurant is located centrally on the busy crossroads of Athallassas and Acropoleos Ave, next to Acropolis Park.

As for all other restaurants of the franchise the need to use a guideline for uniformity was imperative. Our firm Studiomk35 - Architects was tasked with the selection of the various elements that would be used and also to provide the design for elements that were not provided but should be consistent with the guidelines.

The guests’ space is divided on 2 levels that interconnect through an internal atrium. On the ground floor there is the main entrance, the order and pick up counter, a spacious dining area and also corner booths. On the first floor there is another dining area that oversees the ground floor through the enclosed atrium. That area can be used for private parties as well and can he enhanced by the indoor playground.

The external space is enhanced with an outdoor dining area that can be either open or closed.

Although not on the initial design, one of the best decisions mid-construction was the addition of the adjoining plot to the project that would provide additional external dining area, a 2nd outdoor playground as also additional parking spaces.
